Privacy Policy Summary

Service Roundtable's Privacy Policy is guided by these principles: We will protect the information about our members. We will not provide any information our members provide us to any third parties except to provide credit card information to our credit card processing partners, if required to do so by law to protect the safety of others, or when specifically given permission by you. Details about the information we collect is found below.

Registration/Purchase Information

When you register with members.servicenation.com you necessarily provide us with information about yourself and your company. This data collection includes such personally identifiable information as name, company name, address, phone number, email address, and credit card information. You may also provide additional comments on how you learned about us, and what you need from the Service Roundtable.

Email Information

If you choose to correspond with us or with other members through our email discussion lists we will retain the content of your email messages together with your email address. Please be aware that any personal information you choose to include in your email to other members via our discussion lists can be read, collected, or used by other users in this forum. We are not responsible for the personally identifiable information you choose to submit

Web Site Use Information

Similar to other commercial web sites, our web site uses a common technology called "cookies" and web server logs to collect and store information about how our web site is used. Information gathered through cookies and web server logs may include the date and time of visits, the pages viewed, time spent at our web site, and the transactions you had with members.servicenation.com (for example, downloading content or adding an industry).

The Use of Information

We use the information we collect to improve our products and services. We want to know which of our content is most popular, which web pages are most visited, how much content is downloaded, how much discussion takes place, etcetera. In order to streamline certain business operations, develop products and services that better meet the interests and needs of our customers, and inform our customers about relevant products and services, we may share your personal information with any of our current or future affiliated entities, subsidiaries and parent companies ("Affiliates"). You hereby agree to our sharing some or all of your information and personal information with our Affiliates.

Email Communications: Opting In and Opting Out

If you register on our site, purchase any products from the site, or subscribe to any of our email lists you can expect to receive a welcome email and confirmation emails. If you have registered with our site, you will be subscribed to a few of our member email Roundtables (email discussion lists). You can subscribe to additional email discussion lists, and unsubscribe from any of them at any time, by logging in at members.servicenation.com and clicking on "Email Lists".

Contact Information

On rare occasions we would like to provide contact information with selected Service Roundtable partners. We will only do so if we have your permission and if we believe the partner's products or services are useful to our members. Generally, this means a substantial discount for you which we are only able to acquire by providing "proof" about our membership numbers. At any time you may give or rescind your permission to give your contact information by logging in, and clicking on "My Account", "Personal Profile", and then scrolling to the bottom of the page.

Service Providers

We necessarily use third parties to facilitate our credit card processing. When you purchase a product from us, our credit card processing companies will facilitate the transaction. We have to share billing and email information to provide that service. These third parties are prohibited from using your personally identifiable information for any other purpose, including their own marketing purposes.

Secured Information Transmissions

The security of your personal information is important to us. When you enter sensitive information (such as credit card number) on our registration or order forms, we encrypt that information using secure socket layer technology (SSL) 128 bit encryption services. We follow generally accepted industry standards to protect the personal information submitted to us, both during transmission and once we receive it. However, no method of transmission over the Internet, or electronic storage, is 100% secure. So while we strive to protect you, we cannot guarantee its absolute security. Please note: Email is inherently insecure. We ask you not to send private information (particularly credit card information) to us by email.

Certain Disclosures

We may disclose your personal information if required to do so by law, court order, or subpoena or if we believe that such action is necessary to protect the rights, property, and safety of others.

Linking To Other Web Sites

We are not responsible for the practices employed by web sites linked to or from our web site nor the information or content contained on those sites. Our privacy policy is not in effect when you link to another site from our site.

Your Consent

By using our web site you consent to our collection and use of your personal information as described in this Privacy Policy. If we make material changes to our privacy policies or procedures, we will post those changes on our Web site to keep you aware of what information we collect, how we use it and under what circumstances we may disclose it.
